Evan Williams 23-Year-Old-107-Proof Bourbon-Whiskey, a now quite rare bottling.
Size: 750ML
Proof: 107 (53.5% ABV)
Age: 23 Year
Origin: United States
Distillery: Heaven Hill Distilleries
A truly remarkable bourbon,
bottled at the old-style traditional 107-proof after
an incredible (for a bourbon) 23 years of ageing.
Gloriously long, complex palate.
Heavy aged oak is immediately noticeable bu
t by no means overpowering.
Digging deeper reveals classic scents such as
vanilla and caramel, along with scents of marshmallow,
creme brulee, and syrup.
The nose is surprisingly rich and for such an old
bourbon bringing forth a nice mixture of sweet along with oak.
Interestingly enough, there is only the faintest hint of ethanol.
